Smart Renamer for REAPER
This script allows for convenient context-aware renaming of objects in REAPER. It also offers advanced features for batch renaming using simple rules. As a bonus, it lets you change the color of selected elements.
Key Features
- Renaming of items, tracks, regions, and markers based on the selected context
- Changing object colors, with the option to create and manage a custom color palette
- Advanced batch renaming tools, such as Replace Text, Add text as suffix/prefix, and Format
- Context-aware wildcards that are easy to use and adapt to your current selection
While working on the project, you can select various objects such as tracks, items, markers, and regions—either individually or multiple at once. The script will take the current context into account and highlight the selected element in real time.
It’s also worth mentioning that you can select multiple regions or markers at the same time. To do this, open the Region Manager and choose the ones you need. The script will adapt to your selection accordingly.
Color picking
You can color all elements as needed. For greater convenience, the script allows you to add your own custom color palette.
Wildcards
Sometimes you may need to take the name from another element—for example, using the item or track name for a region. To quickly rename a large number of elements, the script includes a wildcard system. It takes the current context into account, and by pressing the W button, you can choose any element to include in the name.
Price
Good News! The script is 100% free to use. Buying it here is a way to support me if you’d like to — I really appreciate it!
